Eric Adams and Andrew Cuomo are both running campaigns to appeal to Republicans, and they're not being subtle about it. I can't believe any Democrats are even considering endorsing either of these guys.
At an event hosted by the conservative Manhattan Institute just now, Mayor Adams called on the State Legislature to in 2026 (when he very well might not be mayor) give NYC powers to involuntarily commit people struggling with drug addiction.
