I've appreciated seeing Usman Khawaja on the Aussie cricket team. Growing up in the 90s & 00s, I don't remember any non-white men on the Aussie cricket team then (Cricket fans, please correct me if I'm wrong). As an Asian-Aussie woman who grew up in a regional area (country town), I feel for teens from marginalised groups & those who live in regional & rural areas who will be affected by Australia's u 16 social media ban. As a teen you try to find yourself & where you belong, which is always hard. /1

As an millennial, it's so weird watching Channel 10 promote #BigBrotherAU with footage from like over 20 years ago (The first season was in 2001!). Is that supposed to get millennials to watch the show, even though Gen Z is their target audience? Makes no sense to me. #BBAU #australia

I just watched #freakierfriday basically for #mannyjacinto & I was sad that he didn't have more screen time in it. It was a fun movie though. My least favourite part was SNL's Chloe Fineman as a dance instructor with an AWFUL "Aussie" accent. She sounded like she was doing a really bad NZ accent. /1

When I was younger & getting into fandoms, I used to think the term "AU" stood for Australia instead of "Alternate Universe". Being an eldest daughter of an immigrant parent, I find it kind of insulting that Taylor Swift has a new song called "Eldest Daughter" but barely writes about the actual experience of being one, let alone a heavily involved one. She's never mentioned it in her music before (that I'm aware of). /1

A lot of younger people don't know how to look up answers online anymore. People will just go to Reddit or Quora & ask questions that you can easily find the answers to by looking through your favourite search engine. Or asking AI for the answers, which isn't always correct either.
