It’s stuck with me since I first heard it because it’s literally video game villain shit, man. Like, the least believable thing about Resident Evil 4 has always been that the motivation behind the plot to infect the president with a brain worm is that the bad guy is using it to enrich himself.

I don’t see how you could work the xenos factions in, but maybe like a Necromunda-style game set across an entire Hive World? Kinda using the hives as city-states going to war with each other in the vein of Necropolis?
