NEXT STEP: okay, so release 22H2 is out of date. Got it. How am I supposed to progress to a newer one if it’s not being offered? Are they dropping hardware mid-11? Am I missing some UI? Am I not licensed somehow? Do I need a manual installer?

After a complete re-reinstall that led me to the exact same brick wall, I gave up and did some other shit.
Turns out it was actually doing shit completely invisibly and resumed loading sidecar .MSIs about 10 minutes later.
Peace returns to the realm.

OK, China finally got me. Full recommendations for the Ninebot Max G3. Absurd acceleration, built like a tank, low maintenance, sane design, $999.
Two huge minuses: it's ~60lbs and the handlebars don't fold, eating 24" and keeping me out of some restaurants. Sigh.
