A contrast in success/failure. The chowder - massive success, looks brilliant. Cooking gods just didn't want us making the Yorkshires today. First batch too dense because I used butter/PAM to grease the pan. We accidentally dropped the second batch as we put it in the oven. Oh well.

The other half craved bread and butter pudding so we tried a Gordon Ramsay recipe. No apricot jam to glaze so we subbed strawberry preserves. Fear I had more egg mixture than bread. Still looks stunning.

Now that it's cooling down I'll be getting back into baking. Here are some of my past attempts:
- Dreamsicle (candied orange slices on top)
- Mint chocolate chip (Andes crumbled)
- Orange jelly-filled cupcakes
