This doesn't mean we should doom. The tide is turning. We will win. But the "this is the beginning of the end" assertions are only sort of true. We have <3 more years> of this. It is going to take a total reorientation of media & public pressure to get it done sooner than that. Focus.
The amount of time we/the media/pundits/etc. spend on #1 vs #2 is a wild misallocation of time, effort, & focus. Thune, Johnson, & every elected Republican shouldn't be able to approach a microphone or appear in public without being bombarded with questions about impeachment & removal. And yet, 🦗.
