Loads of American Robins in our #YYC backyards - the clear skies overnight and the recent cold has motivated their southern movements. Put a water dish out for them and try to reduce window strikes by drawing curtains, moving feeders >10m from house and marking windows etc. #birds

Aiming between white porch posts and through leaves is interesting! The House Finch left and a second Goldfinch entered the feeder! The sunny yellow Goldfinch draws all my attention. 🪶

Perhaps there is a Carolina Wren nest in the pink Geranium after all. There have been nest supplies going in, then nothing for a few days. There's also feeding runs going on to the back of my house. I suspect two pairs of Wrens. Aren't the lovely trees in focus? 🎶 🪶

Look at that beautiful bird!!!! It has been literally forever since i've seen Tyrranus tyrranus, the Eastern Kingbird, and this is the first time i've seen one in the yard. I am ecstatic that it didn't fly off when i pulled up at the house and that it waited for me to sprint in and get a cam! #birds
