I’m getting to the age where I’m starting to have healthcare providers that are around my age and it’s kind of freaking me out lol

hello cis friends
this is what people mean by trans genocide

if a type of person does not officially exist, then any harm against them cannot be measured or reported

this headline change isn't even being caused by an executive order

it's simply the NYT editors deciding we don't deserve to exist

Being a trans ally means action.

Vote. Volunteer. Protest. Speak up.

But also: Amplify trans voices. Pay trans people. Donate to trans orgs. Create jobs and safe spaces for trans people.

Stop thinking words are enough.

This is what you get when you click on the CDC's "Health Disparities Among LGBTQ Youth" page. It has been disappeared. This purge will harm some of our most vulnerable & hamper research aimed at helping them - an abdication of the CDC's vision to "equitably protect health, safety and security." 🧪

a shame to publish a paper like this and not also publish video

"Video recordings were analysed by trained observers in order to determine the species of the animal in the wheel."

@ Johanna H. Meijer + Yuri Robbers, release the tapes !

🧪
In 2014 Dutch scientists left a hamster wheel outside, to see if wild animals would use it like their domesticated counterparts.

The answer: hell yes! 734 visits from wild mice - plus rats, shrews, slugs ("running" being subjective here) & even frogs and snails.

The apparent reason: fun. Just fun.

This really sweet guy on Xiaohongshu saw a post I made about anxiety and mentioned that he also has anxiety. He asked if I wanted any advice, and I said sure, and he told me that getting Chinese massages, fishing, playing billiards, and taking walks have really helped him lol.

I finally was able to tidy up some areas of my apartment. It's still not nearly where I want it to be, but it's a lot better/more manageable.

I've been learning Japanese with Duolingo, and I briefly tried to add Chinese as well since I joined Xiaohonshu, but it got a bit confusing since so many of the characters look the same and learning Japanese has been difficult enough with it being such a new language format compared to English.

By digitally modeling muscles and tendons for the skeleton of Lucy (A. afarensis), researchers determined these hominin ancestors could run well but topped out around 11 mph.

Early human ancestor 'Lucy' was a bad runner,
and this one tendon could explain why 🏺🧪

This was my favorite piece I’ve ever gotten to sing with Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus. I cried every time. Performing it at GALA Festival in the summer and then hearing how many choruses are wanting to perform it themselves now was so cool. I hope my trans pals hear this and feel strengthened by it. 🏳️‍⚧️
