Howards' Way disappeared from streaming services (ITV X) a couple of months ago. Must be a reboot in the works...
40 years ago today, #HOWARDSWAY was first broadcast. This drama of ambition, love and shoulder pads was often dubbed 'Dallas-on-Sea' for its glamorous portrayal of the wealthy yachting and business elite in the fictional coastal town of Tarrant.

Doctor Who turned twenty five in 1988. Not many people noticed because not many people were watching, but the anniversary season marked something of a creative turnaround. Especially when it came to a certain scene about a bowl of sugar...

My manifesto for Doctor Who

1) The Whomobile to feature heavily in every earth-bound episode.
2) 1 doctor-lite story per season, to be told from the perspective of K9
3) Genesis of the Kandy Man (spin-off).
My manifesto for Doctor Who

1) a cope of shada in every home
2) alpha centurai
3) confessions of a time lord
My manifesto for Doctor Who

1) Mark Gatiss led Pertwee style exile year - trapped in Victorian London for a whole season, Paternoster gang returns"
2) A season of pure historicals, right up until the end with Daleks.
3) Nudity

Looking For Dursley has been nominated (Best Factual) for an RTS Award. We were only able to make it thanks to silly old Doctor Who & its fans: a testament to it and to them. Dursley (a talented young man whose life was cut short by HIV/AIDS) was just one of many: it was important to tell his story.

How I'm ending 2024
December 31, 2024 at 10:33 PM
Day 1: Mandatory spinning globe for all channel idents

Day 2: Comission Blake's 7 series 5

Day 3: Begin TOTP style 'from the beginning' repeats of everything shown ever from the very start of BBC 2. May need modest increase in funding to achieve this, plus an extra channel.
Day 1:

Defund news and plough ALL the money into Light Entertainment

Sack anyone who gets aroused at the sight of a spreadsheet

One producer per show. Their decision is final other than head of department.

Reanimate John Nathan Turner and make him head of Light Ent.
Day 1:
Immediate override of the Mike Smith TOTP veto.
He's dead. Sorry about that - but there are so many episodes that we can't watch.

Reinstate Doctors. We've lost a valuable training ground for actors and writers.

This looks like a big improvement on the tired, old shopping centre, but really needs the Bakerloo line extension for these and the 1000s of other new homes rising up around central Lewisham.
Lewisham Shopping Centre to be demolished for 1,700 homes in new plans
New plans have been unveiled to transform Lewisham Shopping Centre into a vibrant area featuring thousands of new homes and a rooftop garden.
