We've hit another storage shortage so putting out another call for your hard drives: HDD, SDD, NVME, SAS or SATA, whatever you've got, aren't using, & can donate to the cause it'll be used directly for the long time archival of NCAA football broadcasts (and occasional news coverage). DM me! Thanks!
the number of "true-blue" "criticizing a Democrat is doing Trump's work" lifetime DNC and DEC members who are blasting Senate Democrats on social media this morning is astonishing. they truly broke people

After everything, Senate Democrats still haven’t figured out that surrendering to Trump Republicans will end badly? Unbelievable.

as I said.. eight months ago...
given that the caucus elected the leadership that set the tone beforehand by telling them not to do anything and just sit there and be quiet it's absolutely not just outliers.

and even if it were, schumer and jeffries could tell the knuckleheads to knock it off!
November 10, 2025 at 3:24 AM
I assure you if anyone in the Democratic Senate caucus actually believed this was a good bill they would be physically restraining one of the "defectors" from voting, which would not be particularly difficult anyway

They all support it!

With Cornyn MIA & still not voting, votes can still be changed. An effective leader would be burning up phone lines trying to flip one of the Dems who voted yes to kill this deal.

So, what’s Schumer doing right now?

Democrats just ensured they will be blamed 100% for the shutdown, just the dumbest possible people

Schumer can be removed from his Dem leadership role this week - 23 Dems (and/or independents) just have to vote to depose him

And they should, given this is his fault.
This is a lovely sentiment but Schumer isn't up for re-election until 2028 and he knows this. At which point he will be 77/78. There's no mechanism to recall a sitting senator AFAIK.
Let’s be clear: Chuck Schumer is the one ending this shutdown, no matter how the votes read.

Chuck Schumer is claiming that he’s voting no, while letting other Senators (Fetterman, Kaine, King, etc) do HIS dirty work.

He must be removed from his leadership & primaried for the sake of this country

The context here is that these two are, weirdly, unable to look up their own salaries on baseball-reference.com and thus unaware how trivial these sums are relative to their income; there is no reason to consider the possibility that the rate was low because they were doing this a lot
Prosecutors allege that Luis Ortiz was paid $5,000 for throwing an intentional ball June 15 and Emmanuel Clase given $5,000 for facilitating it. They did it again, according to the indictment, June 27. The payment for each on that pitch was $7,000 apiece.

"Four main violations of sensible chase policy occurred: pursuit initiated for a nonviolent crime, ground pursuit occurred after helicopter had sight of the vehicle, PIT maneuver attempted at over 40 mph, & the pursuit was taken to a populated area."

FHP killed four people chasing a street racer:
FHP didn’t stop chasing vehicle until seconds before fatal Ybor City crash, video shows - Creative Loafing Tampa
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) pursued a vehicle down Ybor City’s E 7th Avenue, known for its weekend nightlife, around 12:30 a.m. early Saturday morning. The vehicle, which had allegedly been used for street racing earlier that night, swerved to avoid a turning vehicle and crashed, killing four people and injuring 13 others outside of Bradley’s on 7th. Advocates for safer police pursuits say this was a poorly-executed chase that prioritized apprehension of a nonviolent criminal over public safety.

The last New York City mayoral candidate to secure over 1 million votes was John Lindsay in 1969.

Zohran Mamdani will be the seventh New York City mayor ever to receive more than 1 million votes.
OVER 1 MILLION VOTES.

he won more than 50% of the votes in a four-way race that included the former governor of the state (the son of the former governor) AND THE INCUMBENT, AND a Republican!

Is hell freezing over?

For context: Keosauqua is in one of the reddest counties in #IA01. It's a pretty long drive from any large city and not part of any major Iowa media market (it's in the Ottumwa/Kirksville MO market).

I'm not able to attend. Hope someone records this.

Since I posted the quoted skeet Matsuzawa has attempted 18 more field goals and made them all, bringing him to 22/22 on the season and making him the current all-time record-holder for FG attempts in a season without a miss. Here's the record-setter from last night.
