You can achieve this effect by calculating the distance between the object and camera position in Godot. I’ll be covering this technique in Chapter 4 of the Godot Shaders Bible 🙂.

Huge annoyance with @godotengine.org (still); if you import a lot of models and would like all of them to share an external material you have to adjust them one-by-one. There's no multi-selection, no faster way to do this.

Ben of Ben & Jerry’s *arrested* after confronting RFK Jr. & Congress:

"They need to let food into Gaza. They need to let food to starving kids! Congress is paying to bomb poor kids in Gaza, and paying for it by kicking poor kids off Medicaid in the US!"

The .NET team managed to create a prototype running C# on the Web. There’s still a lot of work and testing to do, but we are getting there! #godotengine

It's been nearly 20 years since I was last doing any real 3D work. My original focus was rigging and animation. 20 years later, I'm learning it all again from scratch! This time, using Blender instead of Maya and SoftImage XSI. I miss SoftImage so damn much. 😭 #gamedev #indiedev #blender #godot

The utility and importance of fonts in games cannot be understated! Most new devs aren't aware, you can't use the fonts on your computer for the purposes of games. You need to purchase a license! #gamedev #godot

Hard to believe that a decade ago, in preparation for the release of my game, I spent a month researching 2D cameras by playing through all my favorite 80s classics.
