I just assume it’s like, oh, women are enjoying this, and gay/bi men are enjoying this ofc, and it's just a fun hockey romance show everyone’s having fun with, and whoever wrote this article has a serious problem with that and would like to insist that actually everyone is doing something wrong.

I tried to read the whole article and I couldn’t even get through it lol, and I haven’t even read the book or seen the show. There are definitely criticisms to be made about some of the MM romance written by women but as far as I know this is not one of those cases whatsoever.
