Fascinating how many times NYT interviewers have to strategize to "try to get Trump to think about something." It doesn't speak to a coherent mental state to say the least. He comes of as a racist, rambling, feeble man who has no idea what his admin is doing. www.nytimes.com/2026/01/09/p...

I've been playing around with using small language models as SQL generators for natural language queries and it works surprisingly well! A lot of sensitivity to examples in the prompt but still it's pretty handy.

Okay this is going to be long so mute it if you don't want a granular explanation but first: SHAME on @ronfilipkowski.bsky.social for misrepresenting what Chair Powell said in order to pat himself on the back. Shame on you.

Let's talk about measuring the 171mm people of the US labor force.
@peark.es seems real bad that the fed chair doesn't trust the job numbers

Racing Mount Pleasant has become heavy rotation for me this fall. It's like part Bon Iver part midwest emo with strings and saxophone, always lush and thoughtful arrangements. Really mature for such a young band, just so impressive. open.spotify.com/track/2QfA2z...

RIP D'Angelo. Black Messiah is still one of my favorite albums; I'm so glad to have seen him on that tour. Honestly, this one hits pretty hard for me, he was so young.
