I’ve gone a bit #cottagecore this year.
Someone gave me a beautiful native flower bouquet which I have dried and re-mounted to fit the door.
Held together with skewers and foam and cotton and good wishes.

Isn't it though? Just add to that the reality that I've stopped taking one of my mood altering 'mummy little helpers', and want to burst into tears every time I hear a Christmas song? Having a great time 🥺😁😢😖

I'm at a dog park out of town- it is usually so covered in dog poo. I was dreading coming here, but it looks like it's all been vacuumed up?
Because how else would you pick up half a tonne of dog poo?

A new life of figuring out when to eat- ATM brekkie=main meal
Every evening I fall in a bit of a hole because I don’t feel like food & I don’t want to cook.
So, my routine at the moment is to do a bit of food prep during the week, roasted veggies, salads, roasts & dishes that I can eat hot or cold.

While making dinner last night I threw these together, because I didn’t have gardiniere and it goes in the Muffuletta apparently.
I have made muffuletta before, but had no idea it was a New Orleans- Sicilian thing.
Anyway, the veges taste AMazing.

Got up at dawn in the beautiful cool air to water things before the day gets warm .
I’m roasting a mammoth amount of Mediterranean vegetables so I can make some muffuletta sandwiches for these damn heatwave social events over the weekend.
The house smells pretty good though.

Spent a delicious few hours strolling & relishing the Botanic Gardens, finishing up at #BotanicHouse, as you do, with a dear bestie.
I told her "I just want to walk around under some fig trees" & Sydney delivered.

For a small town Shakespearean production, I felt like I was being treated to something really special.

I walked outside and my baby star jasmine has such powerful scent. And all Johnny can smell is our giant coriander ( I’m letting this one go to seed).

The little visitor dog & I get up just before dawn to do a spot of gardening before the day gets warm. I’m now drinking coffee and cutting all the elastic out of old undies to tie up my tomatoes. I’m cranky about this because they were nice knickers but I got too skinny for them.
