Episcopal leaders at Washington Cathedral yesterday honored Dick Cheney with dean calling him "statesman who shaped the course of this country & of the world." He did shape world (especially Iraq) but I don't think that's praiseworthy. Trying to be "national" church leads to muted prophetic voice 1/

I really like that NYTimes published interview with their 2 religion reporters on how they cover religion. Interesting conversation with 2 excellent religion reporters who I always read. There are some great thoughts in piece, but there's also a concerning answer. 1/
