Ironically of course the current rules around loyalty points/vouchers for baby formula are literally state mandated in order to incentivise certain behaviour which is arguably more communist

Yeah at some point I went from "huh?! Banana cocaine lady is being sensible?!" to concluding that being sensible is her default state and the banana cocaine thing was some bizarre deviation
She claimed that consuming bananas is unethical, admitted to a cocaine habit *then* claimed that cocaine is more ethical than bananas, clearly knowing nothing about the production of neither of those things.
Weirdly she later turns out to be a totally decent progressive human being.

My extremely simple heuristic for the current political system is that until you can go food shopping and think prices haven’t increased / things aren’t expensive etc don’t expect any material political continuity.

I was on a clear stretch of a 40mph limit road and got stuck behind a guy wandering between the two lanes randomly at a speed I don't think ever exceeded 15mph and occasionally he would just abruptly stop in the middle of the road and I didn't feel safe to overtake because he was being so erratic
