'Once in a generation opportunity' was a throwaway line, not a guarantee. Opponents demand it must be conformed to whilst refusing to keep the actual promises they made to win the referendum.

2. It's highly likely back in your living room the whole context comes back.

Ever since that article I've tried it and it absolutely works for me.

Age doesn't seem to be the problem.... just go back to the place where you think you got the idea in the first place.

Ages ago I read an article on that that explained a lot.

The idea as far as I remember was that thoughts are formed in a certain context eg your living room.

You know it's in your garage.

You go to your garage: context is lost: what was I looking for?

Solution: go back to your living room....

Increasingly people are realising that independence is an over-arching issue that can deliver on priorities for many parties, so we work together. This is the basis of the "Yes" movement.

You should have a look at BBC Scotland. Nonstop anti SNP/Scottish government. Repeating Labour attack lines with Labour more than happy to to be their cheerleaders. This combined with every UK paper being viscerally opposed to SNP. Labour need to dry their eyes and suck it up.

Funnily so many of us SNP supporters say the same thing, to be told, no she's just doing her job 🙄 .

Welcome to my world. It's what the BBC has been doing in Scotland for years with its ongoing SNP smear campaign. Although interestingly Labour gets the 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 press here. Lies reported without challenge. Labour supporters presented unacknowledged as "experts" etc.

Yip, so many didn't believe us either, thinking we were bitter or even haters of England etc, now their eyes are being opened to the reality we've seen for over 15 +years now.

Now you can appreciate how we feel in Scotland.

BBC have been a persistent source of disinformation against SNP and independence.

I have to say that Labour have willingly aided them in this 'venture'.

Ultimately, the UK has make a big request and to stop treating Europe as a rival to alter the dynamic. The relationship with applicant states or Norway say is different for that reason.

It now seems impossible for the Reeves-Starmer duomvirate to cleanly do that 180°

Realignment isn't cutting it; Europe is not overly bothered with the status quo. It's up to UKG to change that narrative.

Economically it might not be too late, but they are so exposed now to attacks from LDs/SNP if they move for the sake of the economy as to why it wasn't important until now

This is a strange post, for several reasons:

1) "straw man": who said all the UKs problems will be solved? Who can ever say that?

2) Simplism? Who said Rejoining would be simple? Or an instant process

3) Why is there a need for EU to "bend the rules

1. The current position of Labour, Starmer & Reeves in the polls

2. The upcoming elections in Scotland Wales & parts of England.

It's as simple as that!
