This just confirms that if the Unionist party's get the MSP's to form a Scottish Government. They will put what little policy differences they have behind them to form an administration if it means putting the SNP out of power. Maybe not a coalition, but support agreement, memo of understanding etc.

I remember when Labour used to talk like this.
Polanski, "When I talk about a wealth tax, right wing, and even Labour, ask: what about the wealth creators?"

"I want to talk about the real creators in our country"

"The people who keep the country running"

The BBC Scotland news prog is just awful. So low brow it hurts. If not some ambulance chasing style story then football. It rarely touches business & never compares Scotland with its peers. I watch it now & then just to check if its changed but it hasn't. It's designed for dumbing down.

The EU economic integration is accelerating further and very fast, now in the 6th gear 👇

Unfortunately, the Labour reset for our cooperation has moved from park to 1st gear and now to park again and maybe a little in reverse as well.

Every time I see a post saying "UK should join Single Market or Customs Union" I marvel at the exceptionalism of this statement. Let alone "we should Rejoin, but not euro or Schengen".

You fools. You had it all 10 years ago, you squandered it, now you're cold outside and you still want concessions?
To be absolutely clear: UK voters caused Brexit; they did so because of a jaundiced attitude to Europe; if that is not fixed, and the UK joins, we're setting up the next Brexit.

The UK needs to change.

But too many say, "Okay, Europe, fine, but not the euro... or Schengen, or CFSP."

A fietsstraat in the Netherlands, where cyclists have priority and cars are guests. Important to reiterate that this isn’t just a “cyclists have priority” sign you can slap on any street - they’re only used on access roads with very low car traffic, usually only just for residents and access.

I am increasingly negative about the chances of a positive resolution.

The fundamentals that led to Brexit are still there - frustration with UKG, anti-Europeanism, poor jobs, ignorance, and populist-fascist voting - with the latter if anything stronger.

The UK must change.

Do you think so? It seems to me that some (actual or proposed) unions are effective and beneficial, while some are (or would be) unsuccessful. Over history there are examples of unions that worked for a while and later broke apart again. The question is whether any particular union works well or not
