Devoted husband, nurse, analyst, and lifelong democrat 💙that loves the promise of the United States and hates our failures to do the hard work of dealing with our original sins to move closer to equal rights.
Don’t just limit this to Trump. Include all those working to destroy the U.S. Accountability for them all.
He seems so willing to do this to others.

So sad and so true.
Luttig: It doesn’t matter what the Supreme Court does from this point forward. For two years, the Supreme Court has authorized the absolute lawlessness and unconstitutional activity of this president.

I’m not a constitutional scholar but if a president advocates for a change to election laws that is contrary to the constitution, isn’t that a violation of his oath of office?

Since I'm pretty sure this administration doesn't realize this document exists, it would be worth downloading the 2020 Intelligence Community Assessment on foreign threats to the U.S. elections before it disappears, which includes the following finding:

It’s infuriating and heartbreaking to witness the indifference and the banality of evil we were all warned about repeatedly play out again here. Year after year and decade after decade.
After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

There is 0.0% chance that we will be fooled by a bs compromise in the senate on DHS funding. Package it, put a bow on it, try to sell it however you want. Not gonna work. If you aren’t sure about that, spend more time in your states with constituents.

A lot of Dems are going to take Bovino and Noem being fired as the finish line, and it's very important to make it clear to them that it is a starting line

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

AND IMPEACH AND REMOVE.

We need to clamor for that even if the votes aren't there—yet.

A reminder to the news media: “conflicting accounts” is what you say BEFORE the incontrovertible video evidence appears. After that, your job is to ask why one side is lying, not to repeat the lie and pretend no one knows the truth.

More of this please. Shame these corrupt enablers and drive them to behave in our interest or from every position of power they currently occupy. Enough is enough.
Huh, I made a US Senator delete their post 🤔
You know, instead of performatively asking people who have never listened to you to do something directly against their interest, you could simply grind the chamber to a halt by denying unanimous consent on anything Republicans do want until they publicly announce support for Fed independence.

Yes! 💯
What are *you* doing with the unique and unparalleled power of a US Senator? Why are you talking to us as if we didn’t elect you to act in these situations on our behalf? If you know this is wrong and we should stop it, then do something besides glad-handing donors.
The United Kingdom and Germany are literally considering sending troops to Greenland to try and calm US threats.

What the hell are we doing? Why are we turning our closest allies against us?
January 13, 2026 at 9:29 AM
At the very least. Would prefer to see them all stand up and impeach and convict and remove the entire regime.
Senators from states where Trump’s Gestapo have killed people should publicly commit to rejecting unanimous consent in the senate until the House holds public hearings on what happened and the people responsible resign.
I'm monitoring first awful reports of two people shot in Portland by federal law enforcement. I'll keep you updated, but Trump's deployment of federal agents in my hometown is clearly inflaming violence — and must end.

Hell yeah. If you have a Dem rep or senator who isn’t saying this, ask them why not. Dems are in the minority but Repubs will need Dem votes for a new funding bill at the end of the month. Schumer won’t lead, but he will follow with sufficient pressure from his caucus.
The Trump Admin continues to lie about ICE's killing of a 37-year-old mom — claiming she engaged in ‘domestic terrorism.”

They have given ICE a massive budget and allowed them to act with impunity.

I cannot & will NOT support any funding for Trump’s ICE’s operations.

Truth
this is such an important thing to recognize and call out

the fascism is mostly done being nice at this point, but it got here through well dressed men politely asking questions while the rest of us were scolded for pointing out where those questions led

This seems right to me.
I keep saying this but no one is connecting the dots. The war is to satisfy legal preconditions for mass removal *domestically* of Latinos (i.e., suddenly a lot of people are going to be “Venezuelan” for purposes of removal). This is 100% Stephen Miller…oil claim is to make grandpa go along
There is no national security logic that would impel the US to want to do regime change in Venezuela. It's simply not that important. I'm not even sure wag the dog is the right metaphor for what's happening here. Seems like an insane misallocation of US national security assets and attention.

Yup, so Senator Van Hollen, what are you doing to ensure that happens?
Let’s be clear: these are extrajudicial killings. “Kill them all” Hegseth needs to be held accountable.

What’s more, Trump promised the American people no new wars but is now manufacturing this conflict & lying about his motives.

This warmongering has got to stop.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a verbal order to kill all crew members in the Sept. 2 strike on a suspected drug boat. Navy SEALs fired a second missile.

Isn’t this something that should be investigated? What are the details related to this pardon? Who requested that a pardon be considered on behalf of Juan Hernandez. What documents, emails exist? Was anything of value offered? Who was involved in the process?

That’s the correct way to talk to that POS.

Same as it ever was. Let’s build a better future together.
Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

@shaheen.senate.gov has her platinum level fantastic healthcare, but she threw millions of Americans under the bus.

This move tonight has to be made to backfire on the GOP and these Senate Dems. I'm sorry we have to fight on 2 fronts at once, America. But these are the cards we've been dealt.
Reporter: If they block ACA subsidies, will you vote against government funding in January?

Shaheen: That’s certainly an option
