So first up: hello fellow Historians, members of the academy, longtime friends: I'm a Furry, and I have a fursona. I've been "Furry-Adjacent" for about a decade, writing in the transformation and werewolf spaces; it's high time I got back into a fandom that has been so generous to me over the years.
Our Beagle, Whooper, lost his battle with heart disease tonight. We are devastated. Thirteen of the most eventful years of my husband and I's life, he was there for. I dread the quiet of a lonely house...but I know we will meet again.

While everyone is celebrating Groundhog Day, don't forget that today is also when Balto entered Nome with Kaasen, ending the Nome Serum Run and saving the Seward Peninsula from certain disaster. It was the greatest moment in the history of dogsledding.
