Interest rates are pretty low right now.
Back in 1981 however it was 20% however.
Saving your money in a bank account was amazing back then. There was no bank fees and high interest.
The only downside is that they also had high inflation during the early 80s.

On the other hand, if you can fit 3 people next to each other...

Back in the 1990s whenever there was the option to protest it was basically a day off from school.
Even if you did show up to class, hypothetically, you'd probably be the only kid there and the teacher would look at you like "WTF, are you stupid? Just go enjoy the day off."
