I can't prove it, but I really feel like this movie is the animation studio's way of fighting back against the ridiculously conservative demands of recent years. If it makes a billion dollars, they've got the numbers/data to prove progressive stories WORK.

LAKE MUNGO is my answer to that but THE CHILDREN is up there for damn sure.

Don't let me down by leaving THE CHILDREN (2008) out in the cold (at minimum, do watch it if you haven't seen it because it has my fave use of blood and snow of any movie).
