Finally, the city stopped kicking #bikenyc off the West Side Greenway during Fleet Week, beginning in 2022. You may consider this a small mercy, but it went on for 20+ years until reason prevailed!

🚲 And we would add that the McGuinness Blvd road diet project was a very assertive pro-safety/quality of street life move, despite it then being subject to all kinds of corruption and unnecessary drama (outside of DOT), and being only half implemented as a result

🚲 Bike speed signal timing on a major avenue. Still confined only to 3rd Ave in Manhattan, but will have huge benefits for safety if widely applied

Graphics released by DOT when the RFP came out suggested a family of vary capacity pods - larger at outer subway stations for example, smaller on residential streets. We haven't seen what the selected company produces
