NO JUNK MAIL

Bluesky, you are a puzzle. All I want for Xmas is to post a simple picture--with ALT--without all the hoop jumping.
It's now Advent Day 9; couple of days are still in the ether. First-world problems.

My friend works on a Great Lakes freighter and was born just hours after the Edmund Fitzgerald went down. He wrote something about it on his site (where he often writes about life on the big freshwater lakers).

Knocking on the door of Hickson United for Advent Day 4.
Serving the community of Hickson for 117 years, the church closed up shop owing to the dwindling congregation, and has sat empty since 2019.

Advent Day 3.
Quiet contemplation of this little garage and its door. Curious to see if it survives the house renovation.

Looking out on your garden reports with envy. Love the late November glow accompanying your bouquet harvests.

Here under another overcast day and the crunch of 5" of snow.
A season of plant decimation thanks to the 🦨. Hoping for a critter-free garden, next season. Planning begins now.

Resting in the shadows of high rises, hydro corridors, and mulberry trees—not far from his home in Hamilton’s Rosedale—Ernest returned from war in 1945, suffering poor health until his death at age 34 in the old Gage Ave military hospital.
I hope he found some joy after the war.

Last week's late bloom now nestled under a deep snow drift. I was lulled by October's charms into thinking jacket weather would last. Take care out on the roads, good people. #FlowerReport
