I'm old enough to have grown up among the rich who were paying pre-Reagan taxes. We had great schools and nice parks and good roads. And they were all plenty rich enough to buy big houses and join fancy country clubs and jump horses over fences.

I don't care about makeup, but I like shaving! I don't always have the energy for it, but I feel nicer when I do.

the nice thing is we can pick and choose! I like shaving and scents and am willing to put the energy in because I like how I feel/smell when I do. I don't do makeup or nails.

I enjoy watching other people do it. I know a drag artist who does makeup videos on Instagram, and it's fun to watch, but simply not something I want to engage in myself.

the pandemic stole so many of these kinds of moments from so many of us.

I feel like folks should get celebration do-overs.

what if the guns are also part of what makes the people so fucked up? if I can't tell you to fuck off for being a creep, weirdo, and/or asshole without fear of being shot, that emboldens you to be a creep, weirdo, and/or asshole.

The big question on the horizon is how the insurance industry will respond to this. Studio films need to be insured, which involves risk assessment, and getting a company to insure a film against potential sexual harassment lawsuits could make some folks unhirable, and thus their films unmakable.
