Grumbling Groundnut
Dessert! Scratch cranberry sauce and plain thick yogurt, with lemon zest and a lil cinnamon and allspice dust. Made it look fancy. But it tastes great.

"Honestly, in my ten years working at MSNBC, I don't think I've had an experience like the one that I had in that moment where, as she watched, the security guys with us were crying, the camera guy was crying" as this young woman watched footage of her mother having just been grabbed by ICE.
"She said to me after that - Samantha, 21 years old - all my life I've prepared for this moment. All my life, my mom, 53 years old, who was just going to get meat for a stew, has told me one day this could come."

Been sick off-and-on for a month now, and it has shifted the tinnitus in my left ear to alternating bass tones, shifting back and forth in an aleatory near-rhythm. I'm used to the high notes on my right, but the bass tones on the left have made the game harder. Guess I leveled up!

Bigups to our punk rock septic tank guy, out of Lamar, SC. Dude showed up in a classic DK shirt with this truck that reads "yesterday's meals on wheels" and was an excellent hang. I recommend him and and his buddy, if you are in the area and need the poop services.

Accidentally left my YouTube algo rolling on my elderly dad's TV last night. Woke back up late and found him up watching a Bright Eyes live set from like Glastonbury 2006 or so. Said, "I'm sorry man, I can put something else on," but he insisted on letting it roll. That's my emo pa, ha.

Had three cups of good rice left over from two nights back. So I made rice pancakes with scallions, egg, parmesan, plain yogurt, golden raisins, a little flour, date sugar, nutritional yeast and salt. Yummy with a side of coriander chutney. Ate them all before we could take a pic.

This ruling profanes the Constitution. It is lawlessness. It is disorder. There's no way any *conservative* can now claim to be in favor of law and order. It pisses on equality in all its form. It is a perversion of morality, law and the Bill of Rights. www.latimes.com/politics/sto...
Supreme Court upholds 'roving patrols' for immigration stops in Los Angeles
The Supreme Court says immigration agents may stop and question people they suspect are here illegally based on little more than working at a car wash, speaking Spanish or having brown skin.

Just a reminder to check for your name in this list of books that OpenAI trained from. If your name is there, they probably owe you several thousand dollars.

OpenAI cried that if everyone eligible author files, the company will go bankrupt, so I'm alerting every author I have ever spoken to.

When Layne Staley sang about The Man In the Box, was the box anything like a Candlebox? The answer is no, unless it was a very harshly scented candle, and I don't think small batch candle manufacturing had hit its stride by 1991. So, no. The Man in the Box is largely unrelated to Candlebox.
