It makes me think of a pay schedule where devs who don't code are paid less, then they are given the same workload and when they ask about pay discrepencies management tells them that what they are doing is technically scripting and nobody gets paid for scripting
i associate a game designer that isn't also coding with the "guy with a great idea for a game" post. i feel bad about it honestly

a word of warning, failbetter's games are all wonderful but they are made for playing on a giant monitor or television that can fill your entire field of vision. the text is painfully tiny if you play game only in handheld mode

No, what I was hoping for was decompression during my down time! DE-compression! (feelings of terror begin to distort and SUSTAIN)
I think a cool upgrade for the human brain would be something like Automatic Gain Control for emotions so you aren't dealing with months of numbness followed by months of being overwhelmed over & over until you die. I might even let Neuralink hijack my brain if it could actually do that kinda thing.

I think a lot about the chance we had at the start of COVID to finally become a more compassionate, collectivist nation, and how profoundly we were failed not only by the sociopathic greed of the ruling class but by each other.
