UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

I guess it is kind of fundamental to my world view that people a good deep down, which is why it sucks at times when marginalized people are such assholes to each other and I need to question that belief as a result.

instead of vowing to take itch down with your justified anger, redirect that anger at the institutions who are directly responsible for strong arming every single platform that sells adult and/or queer art:
Maybe we could find out.

Mastercard (US): 1-800-627-8372
Mastercard (Int.): +1-636-722-7111
Visa (US + Can): 1 800 847 2911
Visa (AUS): 1 800 125 440
PayPal: +44-0203-901-7000
Collective Shout, the group that took credit for bullying Mastercard into recently censoring more platforms, stated that apparently it took them ~1000 phonecalls to convince them to give them what they wanted?

We got like way more people than that don't we?

It's silly and there are much more pressing issues, but I am frustrated with people saying its bad to extend life because some rich twits want to do that and are doing it badly. Extending life is a good goal and we can make it way longer than it is now for everyone if we were not ruled by morons

Don't know if know if being offline is better for you but being off social media sure is. Like its not like things are great but they are not as infinite bad as it would seem if you only got your news here. It's better to go and learn about the good and the bad to get a real picture of the world

I get repeating the TACO thing cause it seems to upset Trump. But I wonder if it also sends a message of "He won't actually be that bad." Cause he absolutely has and will be for a lot of people.

Kind of a sad TDOV this year but then again I don't remember one where things were going great for trans people.

I'm trans, I am doing game dev stuff, and when my game is done I think a certain subset of gamers will be way into it and if thats the case I will be happy.

Whenever something really ridiculous like the Among Us stuff dominates the public conversation about games and violence, and not - for example- military recruitment and training using games, it makes me want to scream.

BlueSky is trying to monetize so let's show them some numbers:

Reskeet this if you refuse to pay for BlueSky+ until trust & safety decides to prioritize marginalized users.

That's $96 / year of lost revenue for each reskeet...

Cowboy Bebop is the ultimate millennial show because it's about having to live with three roommates while getting screwed by the gig economy, one roommate is a gambling addict and the other won't stop moping about his ex.

Dark Magician Girl is such a funny name because it sounds like that early Yu-Gi-Oh translator did not know the word "witch" existed.

one of my favorite "SOCIETY" things is this 2018 cover of the news magazine The Atlantic, written by mealy-mouthed bigot Jesse Singal, where a moral panic about us transgender people is front and center, and in TINY little print in the top right, "We're Not Prepared for the Next Pandemic"
