Sound on for a short sampler of Hear My Heart Sing, in a new recording out later this week by the brilliant Epiphoni Consort.

Hear My Heart Sing is a choral showpiece celebrating the joy of singing together through the biology and imagery of the heart

It's my lovely wife's birthday, and here's a little tune I wrote a few birthdays ago. I used to write her tunes when we were first together and got a bit out of the habit, but she seemed to like this one

Re that...

A democratic government raising tax is not 'raiding' anything.

Journalists should drop this destructive phrase - it's propaganda:

Why the right wing media keeps screaming ‘tax raid’
This isn’t journalism, it’s propaganda that reframes tax policy as assault and a democratically elected Labour government as thieves

Buy something from Moose! I have a picture on my wall that gives me pleasure every time I see it
I genuinely hate having to plug my work on here. I would rather post my cartoons and drawings without a link to my website, but unfortunately social media is an important element of our business, so I have to do it. I do appreciate the reposts and thank you for the support since I came to Bluesky.

My mum saw a job advertised in the local paper that I had no qualifications or experience for, but only two of us went for it and 27 years later I’m still doing the same job (in a different place)
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

Cricket rollercoaster today.

Wake up at 167-7, England all out before I could get the telly on.

Go in to teach a lesson at 74-4 and come out at 123-9.

We're one day into the series and I've already done all the highs and all the lows.

In a cafe and Lionel Richie’s Hello has come on. It came out when I was about 8 and I thought it was the most beautiful thing I’d ever heard.

Looking back I think it’s the secondary dominants that grabbed me. Still a sucker for a good secondary dominant
