Was great to participate in this panel last week sponsored by @kogodbiz.bsky.social @americanuniversity.bsky.social. Lots of diverse perspectives on climate and the role of the private sector to advance progress in terms of certification, branding, and communication tools.

⚠️ While extent will not be setting any annual minimum records this year, the average thickness of #Arctic sea ice is actually at historic lows for this time of year (in the dataset by PIOMAS). Thinner ice is younger and usually more fragile.

Sorry to hear this. This has been a prestigious & competitive fellowship program that has helped train next gen of science leaders. Alumni of this program are impressive. I had the honor of meeting fellows at AGU. While at NOAA we had the Sci Advisory Board review the program. It got very high marks

AMAP recently released three high-level summaries on important topics for the Arctic: plastics, radioactivity, and climate. I had the honor of chairing this group a while back and it's great to see this work continue and made accessible. Kudos to all in AMAP who made this work possible.

Incredibly honored to be recognized by Am Society of Civil Engineers for work I did at NOAA forming a partnership to bring science of changing weather & climate into new standards. So important we no longer assume stationarity to make infrastructure more resilient for current & future generations.
