With videos filmed by fighters, some with what appears to be visible RSF insignia, we were able to map the exact locations of the killings (13.71340, 25.27854) and confirm that clusters of objects around several vehicles in satellite imagery correspond to groups of bodies seen in the footage.

An RSF berm built months before the takeover encircles the city. Satellite imagery shows a convoy trapped by the berm while attempting to flee Al Fashir via one of its main roads. We identified the location by looking at fire damage in the area.

In Hoffman Estates, Chicago, an ICE agent dragged an 18-year-old from a car, tackled her, and pinned her with a knee as she yelled “I’m not resisting.” DHS’s Tricia McLaughlin said it was over a 2024 “burglary” case — but that turned out to be false.

On its way back to occupied Crimea, Irtysh was snapped in the Bosphorus Strait by @yoruk.bsky.social again. This time the boat sits higher in the water, suggesting it had offloaded its grain in Yemen.

Irtysh was captured on PlanetLabs satellite imagery at a UN checkpoint in Djibouti in September. All ships travelling to Yemen are checked at Djibouti for weaponry. AIS data showed Irtysh anchored off Djibouti for six days before passing through.

Ship spotter @yoruk.bsky.social photographed the ship moving through the Bosphorus Strait on August 23rd. Photos from before it travelled to Crimea in early August show the ship comparably higher in the water, suggesting it was burdened with some weight after its trip to Sevastopol.
