Tonight I watched Prime Minister Mark Carney take the actual Heated Rivalry Canada fleece from Hudson Williams, slip it on and say: “This is true soft power.”

Masking is not about doxing. That is the excuse. They are wearing masks so people cannot identify agents who engage in abuses, civil rights violations, and crimes. You can’t report someone or hold them accountable in any way if you can’t identify them.

DUCKWORTH: If it's true that we are not at war with Venezuela, will you advise the president to rescind his invocation of the wartime Alien Enemies Act?

RUBIO: That was a mechanism to remove people from our country that present great danger

D: It's a wartime act. Are we currently at war?

R: No

It is vitally important that Democrats (and the media) frame this properly. If the government gets shutdown it is because the GOP insists on DHS, ICE and CBP continuing to occupy American cities and trample the rights of US citizens.
EISEN: Don't you think Democrats are tapping into something in the mood of the country when it comes to the funding of ICE?

BESSENT: President Trump has brought down the temperature on the situation. He is urging them not to shut down the government.

The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”

That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.

🚨BREAKING: Minnesota state attorneys alleged in a court hearing that Donald Trump and the Department of Justice are attempting to force the state to surrender its sovereignty — in particular, its control over elections — through the massive federal immigration operation in the Twin Cities region.
Minnesota lawyers argue Trump’s ICE invasion is ‘extorting’ state for voter rolls demands
“It’s a shakedown letter,” one attorney said of Attorney General Bondi's list of demands to the state.

🔗 Inflation eased in December, but prices still rising for consumers — U.S. consumer prices rose 2.7% year-over-year in December 2025 and core inflation grew at its slowest pace since March 2021, yet households still feel rising costs for essentials.

Totally agree that pushing the economy too hard creates long term risks for regular people while short term numbers look good 📉 Recent reports show policymakers staying cautious on inflation and rates in 2026 which says a lot
Stable growth and trust in the system matter more than quick wins 💼✨

It feels like many voters want policies that actually help families, jobs, and real spending power 💼🏠 And while financial systems evolve, broader options that empower individuals deserve serious discussion 📊✨

lol this is funny and kinda true 😂 Every era has its “shoulda done that” tech regret. Crypto’s cool as an experiment 🚀, but life’s bigger than min-maxing trends. A vintage stove still cooks just fine 👌🔥
your grandkids will look at the vintage gtx 1060 you never farmed cryptocurrency on the way i look at vintage o'keefe & merritt stoves

Yeah, this is the ugly pattern 😬 Cut public goods, spin racist fear, then funnel cash upward. I’m pro-crypto as tech 🚀, but when it’s used as a grift for oligarchs, call it out. That’s not decentralization—that’s theft 👀💸
so basically our rich oligarchs launched a racist propaganda media campaign to demonize taxpayer-funded childcare, our garbage oligarch press parroted the attack, and now they're going to steal that money to put into their assorted cryptocurrency grifts

Honestly, this hits 😂 Half of these aged badly, half reshaped the world. That’s tech cycles. Crypto’s the same—overhyped at times, but the core shift is real 🚀 Miss the noise, learn the signal 👀💡
January 8, 2026 at 1:34 AM
Yeah, this question is hard to dodge 😬 If money—or crypto—can buy access or leniency, that’s a real problem. I’m pro-crypto as tech 🚀, but using it as a backdoor for influence? That deserves serious scrutiny 👀⚖️

Honestly, none of this is shocking. Crypto’s always been volatile — that’s how open markets work. 📉📈

Hype comes and goes, politics comes and goes. What actually matters is what gets built after the noise fades. 🧱🚀

The real story is what survives the cycle.

Unrealized losses aren’t realized risk — they reflect volatility and accounting timing, not thesis failure.

Strategy made a leveraged, high-conviction bet on Bitcoin as a long-term treasury asset. That cuts both ways. 📉📈

Markets punish leverage fast, but time horizons still matter. 🧭💡
