Culture explains behavior; it doesn’t excuse harm.
No culture has a moral exemption from consent and safety.

Freedom of belief doesn’t include freedom to coerce.

When belief becomes a system that restricts consent, exit, or safety, it deserves scrutiny—not deference.

Mark Twain did not say “No amount of evidence will ever persuade an idiot.”
There’s no reliable source for it.

But Twain did write similar ideas, e.g.:

“How easy it is to make people believe a lie, and how hard it is to undo that work again!”

Western civilization is sick. Sure, a lot of "good" things have come out of it, but we can no longer ignore the TOXIC, GROSS, DISGUSTING things that persist. For example, the exploitation of children. ESPECIALLY since every single adult was once a child.

At least 10 gun industry businesses, including Glock, Smith & Wesson, Remington and Mossberg, secretly handed over names, addresses and other data to lobbyists, who used the details to rally firearm owners to elect pro-gun politicians.

Not being even vaguely sarcastic:

At some point, a journalist needs to ask Johnson “you regularly claim you have no idea what your own government is doing. If we take you at your word, how are you so poorly informed, and do you this level of ignorance should disqualify you as speaker?”
Q: What's your message to the 170 US citizens who have been detained by ICE? About 20 of them are children

MIKE JOHNSON: I don't know what you're talking about with the children. I haven't seen that so I'm not going to comment on it.

On this date, Matthew Shephard died 27 years ago. He was beaten, tortured, and left for dead on fence for being gay. Please keep him and his wonderful mother Judy in your thoughts. And let's all work for a world where such horrific things do not happen to anyone. ❤️🏳️‍🌈

Empires fear pluralism’s autonomy, not chaos. When people act morally from within, they defy guilt, myth, and hierarchy—threatening authoritarian control. That’s why religion preaches obedience.

Hot take: What might actually save America from dictatorship isn’t the Constitution.
It’s that Americans are loud, obnoxious jerks with guns—and authoritarians can’t control noise that refuses to shut up.
