What gacha games have got right that we don't see much outside them is that we dont just want women to look at us with heart eyes, we need freaks. Some folks (rightfully) wanna be looked down at like a Queen observing a peasant, or with a unhinged glare of mental illness one key note from snapping.

The article is well worth a read; this information would never have come to light were it not for Steam's AI disclosure policy, and the game looks to be a rushed cash grab not involving Grasshopper studio.
