Curious book lover who isn't sure of much, but has some definite ideas.
Book Review - 'Golden Age Locked Room Mysteries' edited by Otto Penzler.

Overall, a 'Meh' experience. Some of the stories were clever and engaging - 'The Third Bullet' for example - but many were either flimsy - 'Elsewhen' - or convoluted for the sake of being convoluted - 'The Exact Opposite'.

Tide might be turning. Keep pushing. Keep calling, donating, protesting, all of it. Don’t stop, especially if Trump starts throwing them overboard. Don’t stop until they’re all gone

"World Within A Song" by Jeff Tweedy is a spare, wonderful ode to the power of music and the randomness of life. It's a quick read and added to my music library. #booksky #bookreview

"The Crying of Lot 49" by Thomas Pynchon is a great example of literary stylings and flash over story telling. I get it's appeal for some people. I found the puns tedious and often forced. Also, the inability to say simple things simply was also annoying. Did not keep. #booksky #bookreview

RONALD REAGAN (1988): We should be aware of the demagogues who are ready to declare a trade war against our friends, weakening our economy, our national security, and the entire free world—all while cynically waving the American flag.

Probably a good time to remember that for three straight elections a voting majority of Americans have said "Not Trump." There is no mandate. He is a widely unpopular man elected because of a flawed system (2016) and a series of bad decisions by Democrats (2024).

Finally finished the first season of my Babylon 5 rewatch and man, that was such a good show. Easily one of the two best science fiction shows of the 1990s.

So, do we get to hear all the SEC announcers at ESPN call Tennessee overrated and undeserving of their playoff spot now?

As a father, I 100% understand why Joe Biden pardoned his son.

As someone who believes in the rule of law, I think this was the wrong decision.

As someone who has studied history, I know full well this isn't the first time a President has pardoned someone for purely personal reasons.
