Nah, think it’s mostly people who are tuned out of the series

Yeah, fair

Anyway, that’s enough thinking about CoD for another year

Frankly, giant soldier guy piques my interest a lot more than the boring, self-serious campaigns of the recent Modern Warfares (which completely missed that what made the original Modern Warfare campaigns tick was an air of faint ridiculousness)

You are forgiven

“A Treyarch CoD campaign got a bit weird, clearly the franchise is collapsing in on itself”
November 16, 2025 at 1:20 AM
To be fair, pretty sure the last six CoDs have all been like that. This is the first future CoD since 2018, and the first with a campaign since 2016

Yeah, live service games have set such ridiculous expectations

mine is people going "the devs abandoned the game" for games that can be reasonably described as complete or finished

Anyway, buy The Outer Worlds 2

Yeah, though prices have gone up in the last few years (even longer in the UK), but it’s still below inflation

This complaint was fair when you had games like The Order: 1886 selling at full price with a running time of, like, five hours and no other gameplay modes/limited replayability. But 30 hours is a full game no matter what way you cut it

(Though I do think there’s a difference between raising the price for high budget projects and forcing lower budget projects to be sold at a reduced price)

Been informed that this is starting to creep in in theatres and… urgh
November 15, 2025 at 11:58 PM
I feel like you’ve got the wrong end of the stick here. I’m not arguing that GTA VI should be £20, I’m arguing that it’s fine for a mid-budget game to charge full price
November 15, 2025 at 11:57 PM
Imagine if filmgoers expected a normal film with a normal budget to have a lower ticket price than a Marvel film? Oh, and also that a 90 minute film should be priced differently to a 150 minute film?
November 15, 2025 at 11:53 PM
Assuming you meant price instead of budget? And no, in the same sense that film tickets do not vary according to budget
November 15, 2025 at 11:50 PM
(Obviously a lower price point might be advisable to draw more people in, but they aren’t obligated to do so)
