Damn I feel old. I did all this shit without any computers.
My textbook stack was easily 30lbs. My locker was remote and while backpacks weren't a thing, book bags were. "Duffel bags." I just looked that up to see if that was still a thing. I carried that textbook albatross all day long.

Some are criminally underrated while a few have gotten noticed by the Hollywood crowd.

I happen to be a cis straight white male. I believe this is an extreme fortuitous if dreadfully common state and I had no say in it whatsoever.
