The key part is “human-level”, the bar is low @getwired.com… like underground plumbing level.

I did look at upgrade options, but that takes the ticket cost from ~$800 to ~$2600… each way.
Of course you are sleeping on the train so maybe you could convince your corporate travel policy that is the combined cost of train + hotel. And 3 nights in a ‘hotel’ plus 3 train rides… ¯\_(º_o)_/¯

I checked Amtrak last night for my team members traveling from SF… for those interested in “luxury on land” just note it is a four day trip and around $800 in coach.
