What could go wrong ?

Reminder: there's a ton of good feminist (and adjacent) readings/links compiled here, if you're looking for good analysis of the cis-patriarchal system!
It's in English/French

Sorry to post an Unherd article but surely emboldened by how trans rights have been sucessfully undermined - and her support from many UK philosophy colleagues - Kathleen Stock is now starting to question abortion rights. It is important to recognise the trajectory here.

Vaccines do not work when individuated; eg, measles vax has a chance of ending measles if vaccination rates are over 80% for a time.

By keeping vax rates too low, measles can't be eliminated, and people will pay for treatments, both real & woowoo. A bigger market that lasts forever.
A horrifying graphic from Pew showing the fruits of the right wing war on public health.

Only 48% of Republicans believe that vaccines prevent serious illness, while 80% of Democrats do.

This is not a difference of opinion in science. This is the result of a ruthless disinformation campaign.

One of the critiques of Everything for Everyone, mostly from men, was its lack of focus on production, manufacturing and industrial restructuring. There are references, but mostly background. Well, I wrote an Everything for Everyone story about all those things. Hear an abbreviated version tonight!
This Tuesday I'll be joining Jasper Bernes in discussion, talking about his book The Future of Revolution. I'll be reading from a SF story I was wrote in response. It's about about revolutionary factory workers in Brazil, set in the world of Everything for Everyone. www.e-flux.com/events/67832...

Alice Wong taught us that disabled people don’t just leave memories behind—they leave infrastructure. Lineages of care. Methods of collectivity, survival. She named the connective tissue that holds our communities together, even across death, even across the losses that come too fast and too often.

In disability communities, grief isn’t episodic. It’s cumulative. It layers. It reverberates. We lose people who should’ve had decades more time—because the world is engineered to wear us down. And yet, in that same world, disabled people keep building life with one another anyway.
