Anyway, hey, look! Here's some of those so-called billions sitting around in the PTTF! Oh, it's emergency funds in case like a tunnel floods, a bridge collapses, or 2/3 of a car fleet breaks so that agencies have the liquidity to make it through.

It's currently in a generational project to double the number of on/off ramps and build a highway loop through the hills around Pittsburgh

Couple bits in writing: They acknowledge the stop spacing as an issue that was raised in outreach
Also the capital side of this would've been meant $150 million for upgrades.. (we'll see how much of that can happen. iirc, some of the end-of-line projects have been put off)

They intend to approve a statement of work for Corridor ID Step 2 with the expectation the NOFO goes out in November (probably December, or January..) including the Step 2 schedule

I'm wondering if they're thinking about how WCRR trains aren't real push pull. I'm pretty sure it's a guy in the back telling the engineer distances over the radio the train reverses. But if they buy a genesis when those go up, they won't have to mess with the WCRR trains

Came across some updates on the West Chester Rail Restoration proposals... now looking at new or used diesel locomotives, to pull Amfleet 1's after those begin to be retired. The diesel locomotives then might be switched to battery electric

That's the thing, the fact ideas are going around is nice, but if leadership doesn't care to move them at all it's still just ideas. It would be even better if someone would try to corral some of the better ideas into a larger package but they haven't yet
