I find myself returning a lot to TNG, DS9, and even Voyager a lot because of this. We don’t need more dystopia. We need more affirmative visions of the future to aspire to which also include parables for us to learn from.
We need more utopian sci-fi like Star Trek. Dystopian Sci-Fi has failed to warn us anyway, as we're living in one of the worst possible timelines. So I think we need better visions of the future, instead of emo naval-gazing for cool points.

After looking at how in-cylinder pressures are asymmetrical over a cycle, I've concluded that engine designers have valves backwards. Intake valves should be small and combined with a longer cam duration to compensate for the smaller valve, while exhaust valves large with shorter duration cam.
