Listening to ‘Taste: My Life Through Food,’ read by the author,
#StanleyTucci. I’m generally turned off by swear words, finding them unnecessarily vulgar. With that said, it is undeniably sexy when Tucci says “fuuuck” in reverence of delicious food. I am hopelessly crushing on this brilliant man. ♥️

This is highly concerning.
"The researchers were told that unless scientific journals had already returned proofs — the final step in the academic publication process — the studies would be subject to a new review process, the two employees said."
EPA tells scientists to stop publishing studies, employees say
Staff from the EPA’s Office of Water were summoned to a town hall meeting this week and told to pause the publication of most research, pending a review.

Watching the retraction of university programs as my kids begin to graduate high school, having already missed out on programs due to K-12 cancellations due to COVID and budget cuts, makes my heart heavy. Have we forgotten the next generation is our future?

Political violence is never okay. 9/11 was an example of an international terrorist committing political violence against western democracy, Hortman’s murder was domestic terrorism against committing political violence against US democracy. #NeverForget

You know who was also a young husband and father—not to mention ex-Marine—who died, not attacking others to make himself rich and powerful, but to save the lives of others?

David Rose, the officer killed by the anti-vax domestic terrorist who attacked the CDC.

Currently listening to Suleika Jaouad’s ‘Between Two Kingdoms’ on the Libby App, compliments of my local library. Suleika’s honesty about the complexities of living in “the kingdom of illness” is relatable for anyone who has had their life interrupted by uncontrollable and unchangeable circumstances

Unbelievable greed, so in future you don't own anything just rent and work until the end of life. Constantly upgrading appliances, cars among other things to keep with marketing bs lifestyle is destroying working class wealth.

Realized today that I carry love and grief for a village worth of people. Some I knew for decades, some days, and a few for just hours. I am grateful for the weight of each in my sorrowful heart.

To grieve is to have loved and lost. A connection ended, but not broken. You get to keep the memory.
