Morning. Intermittent responder here…builders cut WiFi so no service for a while (temporary one eventually helped for a few days) but now fixed. Teens were distraught 😫. Now escaped from chaos…no cooking in makeshift kitchen for two weeks, sun, sand, food, sightseeing & a few of these 🍹

A grey/wet morning here but C25K 🏃🏼‍♀️ still planned. Gas meter being moved to accommodate building work (£££) but won’t be connected as will need to be disconnected in a week anyway. No hot water/heating for foreseeable. Praying for nice weather but last day of school so ☔️ completely expected 🙄

I do keep telling people I won’t have a washing machine soon and a few have picked up on my shameless hinting but laundrette it will be, I fear!

I’m dreading the kitchen going - at least the cooker can be replaced with air fryer etc but the lack of a washing machine will surely be worse! People have offered use of theirs but I hate imposing. Today was a hot one 😥 but we now have the beginnings of walls👍 Hope your kitchen looks great when in!

Good morning 😎 a sunny and warm commute to office. Just saw a woman pushing a pram through the station - I peeked in to look at the baby and….it was a 🐱!! Must have been a girl cat though as the covers were pink 🙃

I didn’t see the need for one previously but my friend has let us have hers for the build. When we moved in, we had to replace the ancient kitchen & had to rely on a microwave only 😬 That was just for a few weeks though while this will be months so hoping the air fryer is as good as people say!

Only in 3rd week but last week they only turned up 1.5 days. Been here every day this week but I hope there aren’t lots of breaks as the quicker they work, the quicker we can get back to normal. Didn’t mind too much last week as we still have kitchen but will be different scenario once it’s gone!

Thanks - half my garden is still ok but I can imagine sitting there in the sun while the builders build - maybe at weekends I’d mess doesn’t spread…Have a friend’s air fryer and slow cooker but a hot plate is a great idea! Am sure it’s going to be a v stressful few months once they breach the wall…😱

Nice! Don’t follow you but this popped into my feed…currently starting extension work and will soon be kitchen-less. We have trenches in our garden, giving big WW1 vibes. Fed up with the clutter already as we’ve emptied rooms for back wall to be demolished 🙈 but I know it’ll get worse. Any advice?

Agree. To me, it feels like this is something the West knew about with all their recent talk of strengthening defence. Thought it was about Russian threat but now it looks to be more about the Middle East. Feels like globally we’re on a downward spiral 😔
