I'm begging people to understand that the people on food stamps are either old, disabled, or work shitty jobs with low pay. These aren't people who are too lazy to go out and get a job. Most of them work, and if they don't, it's because they can't.

I fucking love socialist urban planning so much. To a lesser degree, US military installations are built in the same way — with clumps of barracks built next to stores, dining facilities, and recreational spaces. Now I live in a neighborhood next to a major road that doesn’t even have sidewalks.

The USA’s bourgeois class has 1) taken advantage of poverty to fuel Christianity’s membership, 2) twisted that Christianity to foment anti-progressive sentiments across the lumpenproletariat, and 3) used the ambiguity of the Bible to convince Christians that the stories of Revelations are coming.

When I was taking economics classes in high school and college the flaws of capitalism were never discussed. Sure, we talked about unemployment and supply shortages but always in the most sanitized way possible. There is no thought towards the human suffering of our socioeconomic system.
