Wrote this a couple of weeks ago. Feels more relevant still after today. And it’s a deficit of self awareness which goes far beyond some members of the BBC board.

Curse of Private Equity.

Four of UK's biggest dental firms have raked in £1.2bn gross profit over the past two years,

Market controlled by My Dentist, PortmanDentex, Rodericks Dental, and Bupa Dental Services.

Prices 3.5 times more than NHS dentist.

No govt curbs profiteering.
Regulator bares teeth as dentists earn £1.2bn
The gross profit figures for private equity-owned My Dentist, PortmanDentex and Rodericks Dental, and Bupa Dental Services rose by 20 per cent year-on-year between 2023 and 2024.

Watching the film about Kenny Dalglish and specifically his actions after the Hillsborough Disaster shows what a giant of man he is and what a snivelling coward Kelvin MacKenzie was and is. Who in their right mind would ask the Hillsborough Liar about media ethics? www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Also @asifkapadia.bsky.social Hopefully Kloppo next? 😀
Like Maradona and Senna, the Dalglish documentary is simply fantastic. As a lifelong #LFC fan watching the life and career of the King and especially how he helped a city in mourning after the Hillsborough disaster was very moving.

Thank you and congratulations @asifkapadia.bsky.social 👏🏻❤️

Just watched the section of the Kenny Dalglish documentary about Hillsborough. Just devastatingly sad. 36 years on and it still feels like yesterday.

I'd never seen the goals from the Cup Final that year. Couldn't watch then, and why would you look back? Football was irrelevant.
