i've been down on Rise recently but one unimpeachable thing about Risebreak is that both covers do really, good work to have clear color separation, depth, and contrast to make sure that everything is readable at a glance. it's a very workmanlike approach to box art but it's still appreciated
The Monster Hunter Rise cover art. The Magnamalo's reds and yellows pop against the blue logo and cloudy skies, and the desaturated and dusty earth means that the blue-and-gold hunter and palamute both have clean color separation from him without fading into the scenery. the Sunbreak cover art. the Gothic architecture of the ruined keep is then shrouded in fog, which means that Malfestio has a clear sense of depth. To his upper left is the Kamura hunter framed against his red-and-grey wings (slightly fogged for better clarity), and the white-and-red Palamute and support hunter are framed against the black underbelly of the monster. They all have a dynamic pose that catches the light well and makes their weapons immediately recognizable, and the stupid sticker saying that it includes Rise is positioned where a fourth entity fighting the monster would be.

my oomf azda spent the last bit making a painstaking series of steam launchers for each monster hunter game and it's crazy to see them all laid out and how even if they're generally unremarkable imo (sorry!) that Wilds has easily the most incoherent and unreadable cover art in the franchise
twelve monster hunter boxes, with the logos carefully framed per my friend's standards. Even with nonstandard placements, the flagship and primary weapon are all visible at thumbnail resolution, except for Wilds, which is an incoherent jumble of blue, gray, and brown. somehow the p3rd cover art hunter is easier to pick out

Swaxe is the most versatile weapon in the mh series, with the amount of movement we have while still outputting damage as well as having the ability to do almost everything the other classes the other can do having our most damaging abilities being limited to 1 skill isn't a dealbreaker. In fact if every move had a lot of dps then the rest of the weapons wouldn't keep up dps wise.

a) enterprise level technology being 10+ years out of date and not really smartphones
