The one thing that maybe freaks me out more about humanity than anything else is seeing how even the smartest, kindest people I knew were okay with the NBC, ABC, CBS and PBS affiliates they grew up with being on different numbers on the dial than what *I* grew up with.

Not only is this shouting out the ‘food mall’ (‘noren‘ refers to the curtain you see in the doorway outside of restaurants) in the Hikarie department building (narrow), it’s paying tribute to nearly ~1.5 floors, B2 and B3 - not counting the omiyage and supermarket sections. A slice of a slice!
Toyoko Hachiko is the mascot for the food mall Toyoko Noren Street in Shibuya, Tokyo, and is based on Shibuya’s famous Akita dog. The character was celebrating its 10th birthday today.
