Oh yes, I have this one too, along with a few other Blueboy gothics. I want to write about them but they’ve kind of baffled me. They don’t have as much of a tie to non-smut horror or gothic for me to get a good handle on.

I don’t know… maybe the words DYKE and LESBIAN could be a bit bigger and brighter yellow for clarity?

I know! I just got Lesbian Jungle and I’m still in that “I can’t believe this is actually mine” phase it’s so damn beautiful!

I have so many questions. Also, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen the “sPECial” designation, which is hilarious, especially for this particular book

Oh wow, I know Canine Sexualis exists but I have NEVER seen a copy!! How on earth did they manage to avoid the kind of legal battles the other smut publishers faced?

I’m about to read Black Heat. I’m working on Satan Was a Lesbian, and Black Heat is the only other book with the Fred Haley byline. I do not think they were written by the same person though.

It is perfect October reading. Not really horror other than the horror we all experience of being embodied, the weird slipperiness between joined souls, between the dead and living. It’s pretty short but I reread some passages dozens of times.

I feel compelled to add that Frederic Brown of course belongs on this shelf but his carnival novels are scattered among my pulps and I was too lazy to find them for the shot.

Swan Song always felt too heavy to tackle but They Thirst sounds perfect!

Somehow I never got around to reading him. What do recommend as a good starter?
