Also as someone who does devotion for and magic with some of the gods the planets are named for, I don’t like to conflate them. The god Hermes is associated with the planet Mercury, it’s his star, but I’m not limiting my interactions with Hermes based on the movement of Mercury.

Also I don’t like the idea that the astrological planets, speaking of them here as spiritual forces, are bound by concepts of gender. They /are/ gendered in traditional systems, but every astrologer has their own spin and I like queering them.
