Spoiler: He realized that the oneness of the universe implies that ageing and death are natural processes that we shouldn't fear, and he promptly died on camera.

I feel like I'm stating the obvious here, but sure, people run over dogs all the time. They also feel like shit when they do so, and generally try not to. For Waymo, it's simply the cost of doing business.

My wife directed Twelfth Night recently, and she cut a bunch of lines for time. Each rehearsal, the actor who played Orsino would add more & more lines back in. My wife didn't say anything bc she wanted to see how far he would go. He didn't say anything bc he wanted to see how far she'd let him go.
I loathe people who test boundaries to see if they can push you around, but realized I do the inverse?

Like I test boundaries in the hopes they DO push back bc I respect it? Just straight brain broken shit where I think it's good & normal to put people through a crucible while getting coffee

me, defending my Cybertruck purchase: Barthes says the birth of the reader comes at the cost of the death of the author

The guy in the neighboring parking spot at my apartment bought a new Tesla last year and immediately put an "Anti Elon Social Club" sticker on it. I have to refrain from rolling my eyes every time I see it.
The best version of this is one on a cybertruck saying that they bought it before Elon went crazy

Why the fuck are we still using this? Did Zhao put in a temp score and was too lazy to replace it? Get Richter to write something new. Spielberg is producing this; you have the money!
"On The Nature Of Daylight" has become a film and TV cheat code to make us cry. Hamnet uses it to be the biggest tearjerker of the year, and makes the case to give the song a break.

It's time to give "On The Nature Of Daylight" a rest
"On The Nature Of Daylight" is becoming a cheap needledrop, and Hamnet's finale might be the last time a filmmaker can get away with it.

All of the quotes of this are like "Uh... Baltimore is dirt cheap"

I did not know this! And now I'm considering going to Baltimore.
Bluesky: “Obviously the housing crisis is the only reason anyone would choose to live outside of NYC”

Actual Americans: “Vegas, baby!”

We have such a weird relationship with vegetables and food in this country. Brussels sprouts are "played out"?

Just eat more vegetables! Find easy recipes that will let you eat more of them! Try to eat them in season!

Scuba diving on the ocean floor, many times.

I guess most exotic would be the Great Barrier Reef.
what's the most exotic place you've ever puked? mine's not exactly exotic but i did once have a hangover at the nyc facebook office and barfed in their very nice bathroom
Got food poisoning from Fogo De Chao. Puked out the side of a moving cab along beautiful Copacabana Beach. The most exotic place I'll probably ever puke!
